As we continue, the next workshops will focus on the land uses for the south side of 35th Street from the 35th Street cut-off to Oakmont St. in addition to the uses between W 35th and W 34th at Jefferson St and just north of Bryker Woods Elementary.  The land use options to be discussed for this area will be realeased at the workshop on January 14th.  After January 14th, the land use options for W 35th and W 34th will be available on-line at the Central West Austin Neighborhood Planning Website, http://www.ci.austin.tx.us/zoning/central_west_austin.htm

Neighborhood Planning Meeting - January 14th

During this workshop, we will continue the discussion of the land uses along the west side of Lamar Blvd starting at 38th Street and stopping at W 31st Street. Also, we will discuss some of the interior areas around St. Andrews and along W 34th Street from Lamar to Shoal Creek Park in addition to the Randalls at the 35th Street cut-off.  For clarification, I have attached a map of the area that will be discussed on the 14th.

Traffic Calming vote

The official results of the voting process for the traffic calming plan developed for the Brykerwoods / Pemberton Heights Neighborhood.

The ballots have been counted, and the results are:

Yes = 314 (58%)
No  =  232 (42%)

The traffic calming guidelines say that of the ballots received by the City, at least 60% have to be in favor of implementing the plan in order for the plan to be implemented.  Since the minimum 60% approval rating was not obtained, the traffic calming plan will not be implemented.
